Tip Toe Through the Tulips

Beautiful Holland Michigan had lots of folks there this past week for, Tulip Time. It was a lot of fun. Between rainy days we were able to watch dutch dancers, and tip toe through the tulips. Above is a photo of Windmill Island. What fun times. After we watched the dancers we took a ride to South Haven to see the lake. It was a very nice day indeed. I am so happy my grandma and grandpa live near the lake. It is a lot of fun to go there.

Was I Broken???

For the past several weeks prior to surgery, dad and mom had talked about how I was going to get fixed. So now that the stitches are almost dissolved I have to ask, what was broken? I surely didn't feel better when I came home then when I left to go see the vet. Remind me to never trust that vet again. Now mom has these nasty brown pills she gives me every month and some
smelly liquid stuff to make the bugs not like me. Come on now, I ask you... do I look like a happy camper. I think not!! Now I like to hang out all day on the heating pad and nap. How exciting is that? For the past week now, it has done nothing but rain. I can't even go outside and chase bumble bees. I am getting rather bored. I have chewed up all of my toys and done everything possible to have fun all on my own. Does anyone know how to make the water stop falling from the clouds? If so please do it quickly.

A Dandy of a Day

This past week I spent time in Onondaga with my great grandparents. They have so much pretty land. I ran all over the place. I can't wait to go back!! Grandpa Leon has been really sick and was gone to the hospital for a week. He is home now, but no one will let me jump up into his lap and give him kisses. I only want to help him feel better. I am not allowed in Grandma Hart's lap either, because I give her trouble breathing. Geesh what is a poor social pup to do?!?
This week mom and I have been real busy working in the yard. Mom has been planting flowers, cleaning out the little barn, scrubbing the patio furniture, and all sorts of outside stuff. Mom has been decorating the house a lot. It looks really nice. Dad and mom really like their home a lot. They should they are always doing one thing or another around there.
I got to meet a new buddy last week. Dad and mom hired a 12 year old little boy to do their lawn. He likes little doggies like me. He has one at home just like me named, Sandy. I don't get to play with him again for another week though.
Mom keeps telling me about this wonderful place upnorth we are going to go in a few weeks. It is a cottage. I have been excited to play there. It has water in front of it for me to swim in and chase ducks. I think I will like it a lot. Her and dad are talking about a nice vacation there this summer. I have lots of fun with dad and mom. Never a dull moment. I wish they would take me on more walks though. I have to pester them more, then maybe I will get my way. Dad had been gone for a while. I am happy to get to see him again. He feeds me the good stuff. I like double cheese burgers. The vet says I shouldn't have them though. Blah what does he know?
For a while I started to think that the outside was nothing but snow and ice. I didn't know that there was such pretty stuff out there under it all. The trees aren't white anymore, and I smell flowers in the breezes. The ground is green instead of white and it is warm now. No more freezing my paws off. I have fun chasing little things flying through the air. I caught a bumble bee last week. I pounced on it and it bit me. It hurt a lot, and left a big red welt on my tummy. It is better now though. I don't chase bumble bees anymore. When I was in Onondaga with grandpa and grandma I got to bark at horses. They are fun to bark at. They make the funniest noises and smell kinda weird. I wish I could go play with them.
Mom put a new clock up today and it scares me. It has the same sound as the doorbell, so when it chimes, I think there is someone at the door. How silly. Then mom tells me to hush up and stop barking. I am just doing my job though.
This week mom is also sewing new curtains for the living room. They are really pretty. They match our pretty couch and chairs. Our home is so nice. We almost moved near grandma and grandpa, but mom said that she didn't want to have to pack and move again. She was real hard to play with the week she was house hunting. She was jumping up and running all over. I even got to go into some of the new houses with her. They were neat. I like my hill though. I am princess of the hill. I can keep track of everyone around me. Well, I am going to curl up and take a long nap. Nibbles and snuggles until next time
